The Sorig Zheney Luejong program will be introduced in all schools in Dagana to address the increasing mental health challenges faced by children in the region. This initiative aims to improve the well-being of students physically and mentally by providing self-healing techniques and preventive measures. The program, which includes 32 steps for self-healing, was initiated by the PEMA Secretariat collaborating with Traditional Medicine Doctors of Kawajansa Thimphu during Covid-19. It focuses on preventing diseases, mental sickness, and minor sickness related to past karma. The training provided to Khenpos and well-being focal points in three Higher Secondary Schools has shown positive results in improving students' mental health. The program will now be implemented in all schools in Dagana to prevent mental sickness and enhance overall wellness.
